In order to cover the expenses necessary for the development of the educational process along with other services they benefit from during studies, the students pay tuition fees.
The amount for these taxes is set up by the University Senate, according to the type of the service, study or school.
The current tuition fees are as follows:
Foundation Year - 2900 EUR/year
Bachelor studies (taught in Romanian) - 900 EUR/year
Bachelor studies (taught in English) - 2200 EUR/year - for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens
Bachelor studies (taught in English) - 2900 EUR/an - for Non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens
Master studies (taught in English) - 4 semesters - 1200 EURO/semester - for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens
Master studies (taught in English) - 4 semesters - 1550 EURO/semester - for Non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens
Payment of the annual study fee for the bachelor programs taught in ROMANIAN is done:
a) First installment, 45% of the annual fee (405 eur) is paid in 5 days after the admission contest results are published for the 1st year students and before October 1st for the other study years, only at the RAU cashier's desk and only with the enrollment form, found at the school secretariat, filled in by the student;
b) Second installment, 35% of the annual fee (315 eur) is paid before December 15, current year;
c) Third installment, 20% of the annual fee (180 eur) is paid before March 15 of the next calendar year;
d) In case of full payment in one installment, within the time-frame established for the first scheduled installment, there is a 10% reduction;
e) Installments II and III can be paid at the RAU cashier's desk, through the PaginaMea.rau.ro personal student account or through bank payment order.
Payment of the annual study fee for the master programs taught in ROMANIAN is done in two equal installments, as follows:
a) First installment (250 Eur) in 5 days after the admission contest results are published for the first semester students and respectively after the start of the semester for students in semesters II - IV;
b) Second installment (250 Eur) before December 15 of current year for semesters I and III, and respectively before march 15 next calendar year for semesters II - IV;
c) In case of full payment in one installment, within the time-frame established for the first scheduled, there is a 10% reduction;
d) The installment for semester I is paid only at the RAU cashier's desk and only with the enrollment form, found at the school secretariat, filled in by the student;
e) Installments for the semesters II and IV can be paid at the RAU cashier's desk, through the PaginaMea.rau.ro personal student account or through bank payment order.
Payment of the annual study fee for the bachelor programs taught in ENGLISH is done:
a) For the 1st year of studies:
a1) For students of Romanian citizenship and citizens of other EU member states, or EEA and Swiss Confederation: the full payment of the tuition fee, within 5 days, from the display of the final results of the entrance examination, on the basis of the application for enrollment completed and signed by the student;
a2) For students from other states that are not members of the EU, EEA and Swiss Confederation: the full payment of the tuition fee, within 5 days after obtaining the approval of the Ministry of National Education, on the basis of the application for enrollment completed and signed by the student;
b) For 2nd and 3rd year students:
b1) the full payment of the tuition fee until the 25th of September of the current calendar year, on the basis of the application for registration completed and signed by the student;
or
b2) 1st installment, i.e. 50% of the annual tuition fee, until the 25th of September of the current calendar year, on the basis of the application for registration completed and signed by the student, and 2nd installment, i.e. the reminder of 50% from the annual tuition fee by 15th of December of the current calendar year;
Payment of the annual study fee for the master programs taught in ENGLISH is done:
a) For the 1st year of studies:
a1) For students of Romanian citizenship and citizens of other EU member states, or EEA and Swiss Confederation, the payment of the annual tuition fee will be made as follows:
a1.1) the full payment of the tuition fee, within 5 days, from the display of the final results of the entrance examination, on the basis of the application for enrollment completed and signed by the student;
or
a1.2) 1st installment, i.e. 50% of the annual tuition fee, within 5 days, from the display of the final results of the entrance examination, on the basis of the application for enrollment completed and signed by the student and 2nd installment, i.e. 50% from the annual tuition fee until the 25th of September of the current calendar year;
a2) For students from other states that are not members of the EU, EEA and Swiss Confederation, the payment of the annual tuition fee will be made as follows:
a2.1) the full payment of the tuition fee, within 5 days, after the student has been accepted for studies by the Ministry of National Education, on the basis of the application for enrollment completed and signed by the student
or
a2.2) 1st installment, i.e. 50% of the annual tuition fee, within 5 days, the full payment of the tuition fee, within 5 days, after the student has been accepted for studies by the Ministry of National Education, on the basis of the application for enrollment completed and signed by the student and 2nd installment, i.e. 50% from the annual tuition fee until the 25th of September of the current calendar year;
b) For 2nd year students:
b1) the full payment of the tuition fee until the 25th of September of the current calendar year, on the basis of the application for registration completed and signed by the student;
or
b2) 1st installment, i.e. 50% of the annual tuition fee, until the 25th of September of the current calendar year, on the basis of the application for registration completed and signed by the student, and 2nd installment, i.e. the reminder of 50% from the annual tuition fee by 15th of December of the current calendar year;
Payment of the annual study fee for the Foundation Year:
1) For students citizens of other EU member states, or EEA and Swiss Confederation: the full payment of the tuition fee until the 25th of September on the basis of the application for enrollment completed and signed by the student;
2) For students from other states that are not members of the EU, EEA and Swiss Confederation: the full payment of the tuition fee, within 5 days after obtaining the approval of the Ministry of National Education, on the basis of the application for enrollment completed and signed by the student;

Bachelor studies (taught in English) - 2200 EUR/year - for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens
Bachelor studies (taught in English) - 2900 EUR/an - for Non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens

b2) 1st installment, i.e. 50% of the annual tuition fee, until the 25th of September of the current calendar year, on the basis of the application for registration completed and signed by the student, and 2nd installment, i.e. the reminder of 50% from the annual tuition fee by 15th of December of the current calendar year;
Payment of the annual study fee for the Foundation Year:

Students that cannot/do not wish to pay the study fees through the cashier's desk inside the campus can choose payment through their personal PaginaMea.rau.ro account or bank payment order.
For using the bank payment order we ask you to consider the following rules:
1) For payments regarding any study program taught in ENGLISH, regardless of the organizing school, use the RAU (generic EUR account) (complete details below)
2) For payments regarding any study program taught in ROMANIA, regardless of its attendance type or level, there are different accounts assigned to each organizing school.
3) The payment order MUST MENTION the following set of information:
- Beneficiary: Romanian-American University
- Beneficiary Fiscal Code: 9081408
- Address: 1B Bd.Expozitiei, postal code 012101, Bucharest, Romania
- Family name, initials, first name, PIN (CNP for Romanian students or passport number for foreign students), study program/major, year of studies, type of attendance - of the payer
- Scope of payment (1st installment, 2nd installment, 3rd installment, annual study fee, resit exam with discipline mentioned).
4) All amounts are to be paid in RON at the daily RNB exchange rate, with the exception of the students which receive study acceptance letter with the study fee established in foreign currency.
The accommodation fee for the RAU Hostel can be paid directly to the cashier's desk inside the campus or by bank payment order.
For fees paid in RON you must use the Romanian-American University (generic RON account) (complete details below), and for fees paid in EUR you must use the Romanian-American University (generic EUR account) (complete details below).
Regardless of the payment type, RON or EUR, the payment order MUST MENTION the following set of information:
- Beneficiary: Romanian-American University

- Student ID data: Personal ID numbers, family name, initials, first names - of the payer

Please USE THE CORRECT ACCOUNT according to the above-mentioned rules:
In case of abandoning school or being expelled the study fee already paid is not returned.
For the normally scheduled exams, according to the educational planing, students do not pay additional fees, as they are included in the annual study fee.
For each failed exam (either by being absent or below the grade threshold) taken within the dedicated exam session, as well as for differences-exams or extra-year exams, students pay a fee established by the University Senate.
For foreign students, students with double citizenship or Romanian students with residence abroad the study fees are established according to the current legislation, in EUR or in RON.
Excepting the students which receive the study acceptance letter with the fee established in foreign currency, all taxes are paid in RON at the RNB daily exchange rate.
